On his sixth album 'Embraced by Destruction', j2456h adds a new element to his music. With the use of musical notation software MuseScore, symphonic music could be added to the album. The rest of the album is more or less in the same musical style heard on previous albums like 'Beneath the Frozen Sun' and 'Homage for Stupidity'. I hope you enjoy this album, and that you'll download my other albums as well.

Spectre gives this album 4/5
"From Beyond the Grave", J2456H's first release, can be a little ambiguous when it comes to it's flavor. Made up of 14 tracks, most being full on metal with others leaning more towards melodic punk and hard rock, this debut album topples a whopping hour of intense and harmonious tunes that all show definite promise for this prolific artist.
While trying to emulate a concept used by many reknown metal and progressive rock bands, FBTG is, for the most part, packed with lengthy tracks, one that almost even reaches the 8 minute mark. However, the "progressive" notion isn't often used in this case and thus the duration of the tracks is not necessarily warranted. In other words, this album could possibly have a much stronger impact if some of the songs were shorter in length as the same chord progressions and elements seem to be often recycled throughout. While "From Beyond The Grave" does shine brilliantly in areas with beautiful harmonies and interesting chord arrangements, unfortunately most of the songs seem built off the same template in terms of structure. Another pattern that doesn't go unnoticed are the multiple bridges where the drum is completly left aside and (while lending perfectly to the occassion in some instances) tend to leave an empty space. There are also a few breaks in pitch but hardly enough to factor in as a major upset.
Some of the finer examples of J2456H's creativty can be found in the intro/outro sequence of "Soul Collection" as well as the bridge/outro of "Lake of Wandering Spirits". That being said, don't expect this album to be reinvinting the wheel as many arrangements (especially leads) are things we've heard several times before. However, what it does accomplish is to reveal the potential that this artist has in store and to entice the listener to follow up on future realeases (which are six in total at the time of this review). In sum, those who enjoy edgy and melodic tones will most likely find appreciation for "From Beyond the Grave"
SPECTRE'S WORD OF ADVICE @J2456H, be careful not to fall into the same patterns too often when producing an album. Having variety in your song structures and "suprise elements" will keep things fresh and command your listener's attention.
